WHAT: On [DAY, DATE], members of the [INSTITUTION] SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) Team are gearing up to help can hunger in [CITY].

The team will be hosting a [food / fund] drive as part of their participation in the Campbell’s Let’s Can Hunger Challenge.  The Let’s Can Hunger Challenge, sponsored by Campbell Soup Company, is an initiative that challenges SIFE teams in three countries to raise awareness of hunger, translate awareness to action in the form of urgent hunger relief and empower those in need to defeat the cycle of hunger.

The [INSTITUTION] SIFE Team is encouraging other students and local residents to support their [food / fund] drive by [bringing a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal to LOCATION / making a donation to the FOOD BANK NAME].  All proceeds from the [food/fund] drive will benefit [FOOD BANK NAME].

WHY: According to the United Nations, the populations of twenty-one countries suffer from acute or chronic malnutrition. Close to 1.2 billion people in seventy countries suffer from food insecurity, or not knowing where their next meal will come from.
